Rose cuttings

This is more of a general question really. I took 2 cuttings from my lovely scented Rose about 2 years ago. They both took and have grown into lovely plants, flowered too.  My question is this: as they are cuttings and are a clone instead of grafted onto a rootstock I assume I won't get suckers and so don't have to worry about how I plant them? Would that be right?
