How to change/add one's location

I can't appear to change my location - I go to Settings -> Edit Profile and I end up with this screen - in which I enter my location etc:





However when I select Save, I get this:



I have tried log out - log in but keep getting this, tried just Scotland, or Lothians etc but anything I enter just gives the same result.
Lazy - Located in Scotland, the Lothians.

    When I try to do it, I'm told "You are not allowed to do this".

    No idea how this works but I have had more success by logging into the main site and changing my details, save, exit, log off and then log on again to the main site. Worth a try?

    If I go to the main site, I can't find any option to change my location - just my on-site name .

    Back on the forum, same error!

    I just logged into the main site then into the forum and changed my location (mental note, change it back!) with no problem so I wonder if its because you have a dash in your username?  Usually better to use an underline but no idea if that might be the problem.

    I logged into the main site and changed my name to something else - no dash or underscores, then logged out.

    Then logged into the forum, where I could change/add my location, then logged out.


    Then logged back into the main site and changed my name back to Julie-G.

    Sorted!

    So pleased you managed to get that sorted out @Julie-G, sometimes you just have to keep trying different tacks 'til you find the one that works!  You just reminded me, I need to move back to E.Berks from Outer Mongolia!
