Identity of this?

Hi, this has popped up strongly in one of my beds. I assume it's a weed but not sure what it is, and it's appeared in a single location - right in the middle of a wildflower mix I sowed previously. It's not one of the usual culprits that turn up (creeping buttercup, followed by more creeping buttercup, with a side of creeping buttercup).

Can anyone identify please?

Looks like clover to me. Was the wildflower mix pollinator mix, or english meadow maybe? If so it’s likely meant to be there. Should have nice little white or red flowers. 👍🏻

Red clover ... great for bees so probably in your wildflower mix.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Yes, it was a pollinator mix, thank you. It's already about 6 inches high, far outstripping the rest.

    Thanks for your identification.
