Magnolia tree

My Magnolia is a small young tree. The leaves are turning brown, curling and going very crisp. It’s April and it been very warm for this time of year could it be its suffering with too much sun or possibly too dry? The soil it’s in is quite clay ish 😢

    If it is a new tree, water it. We have had no rain in four weeks, the clay here is cracking.

    Thank you but it’s been planted in this spot for just over two years now. Maybe your right it needs water 💦
