Something's eating my foxglove buds...

...would anyone have any idea what critter's doing this, please? Chomped two of my eight apricot foxgloves right where the new soft growth is on the flower spike. Most disappointed These were grown from the free apricots seeds in last year's GW magazine. Was so looking forward to seeing these bloom. Just hoping the remaining ones aren't similarly affected.
