Brilliant- we had them planted last Wednesday. How long until they would be considered ‘established’? Conscious that we need to water them enough so they can bed in but then don’t want to overwater. Would it be relevant to water just once a week heavily from now on in?
Several of us have now given you an indication of how to water @mooreso88 At that size, they'll take months, not weeks to establish. In this dry weather, if they're not going to be cut back, they'll need a bucket of water every other day probably. Once a day. They're actually quite hard to 'over water' unless the ground is a bog.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Re-read the above posts. They will need watering regularly till the autumn rains begin and, as Bob says, deep watering once a week is better than teeny dribbles every day.

So we have followed all advice given so thank you but can I just ask if you think that it looks like it’s dying? A few leaves turning yellow. We are just so worried as all our savings where spent on this and already lost the laurel that was originally planted. Any advice or thoughts please thank you everyone (we are full garden beginners)
You need to be watering at least 2 gallon per plant in this weather...per week...possibly more if soil is light and sandy. Your plants are wilting. It has been hot with very drying winds. No idea where you are but with new plants like this I would be soaking ..do not use a hose and just spray...use a watering can where you know how much is going round each shrub...water the soil at the base in the early morning or cool of the evening.

It may be that the limp foliage never recovers and has to be pruned off. That's not a problem and will help the shrubs bush out.
