    Oh dear... someone broke them.... shame they can’t grow back like all the nice real ones....

    Have you actually told her you dislike them? Explained your reasons and asked why she wants them in the garden? Just a thought......

    While plastic plantings are certainly not my thing, isn’t the garden both of yours to share? Perhaps you need to have an honest discussion, rather than trying to be polite and saying nothing, and come to a compromise so that you can both get enjoyment from the space. Jokes or not, I think suggestions of binning them when she’s not looking, or saying she can have the worst part of the garden as hers to decorate, are rather demeaning.

    It wasn't Jamie's comment ... he asked if he should lump it , meaning 'put up with it' ... not got a problem with that ... Papi Jo said 'lump her' ... colloquial expression meaning 'give her a thumping'.  :/
