Daz In The Garden...TV Show from North of England.

Several years ago I watched a gardening program for absolute beginners showing the public what a spade was and really basic stuff
It was based in a large country house where they had an agricultural college in the north of England.
The presenter was an ex DJ and the show started with him hiding behind tomato plants in the greenhouse and creeping towards the camera.
It was so cringe worthy that it was compulsive watching.
He had an enormous assistant called John I think who missed his cues ( no pun intended )
What was the correct name of the show please ?
