nettle fertiliser

I have lots of nettles growing and thinking of making fertiliser. I have looked online and found conflicting information about plants that benefit from this. I was going to use it on roses and tomatoes, is that ok?

Don't know about roses @Grajean but you want comfrey tea for tomatoes,  nettles are better for leafy plants as they are heavy on nitrogen which tomatoes don't necessarily appreciate.

Or you could just compost the nettles, but do it before they flower and set seed.

Agree about nettles, nitrogen and leafy plants.

You need more phosphorous and maybe potash for roses and toms so comfrey is better for them or banana skins.

Nettles are a No 1 boost for runner beans if you grow them, especially if you leave them in a heap until they're all black and slimy.  As with a lot of things it requires planning.
