Reseeding patches on the lawn

At the end of last year there were some quite large patches of grass that were in need of reseeding. this has been done about a week now - does anyone know how long it takes grass seed to start growing?

    Usually you'll see germination within 2 weeks depending on conditions

    Foxwales - great thank you I will keep watering it in if no rain forecast and keep my fingers crossed..
