Medium garden design from scratch

Dear all,
We are about to finish building our house so, naturally, we turned our attention to the garden. We are a bit short on ideas though. I will post some pictures with the house (renders) and the plan of the garden.
There are a few things I would like to mention:
- the house has an "built-in" patio, complete with barbeque, seating and dining (around 40 sqm), so there's no need to house a bbq or something like that somewhere else;
- on the right and upper side of the
plot, the previous owner planted something like 300 pine and Christmas trees, some of which have developed into big ones (6+meters), and most of the other ones unable to grow because of their sheer density. They don't have lower branches and look pretty bad, I will cut them down to make room for something else;
- I did a small sketch, because we want to divide the garden into rooms, on the left far side a sitting area (a bench and maybe a swing), and on the far right side a storage room; however, we are not sure how to do this divide, and what to plant to make sure you don't see from the patio to the swing area.
- We also need a small lawn for the kid and the dog, in the front of the patio, so we can keep an eye on them;
- Also, we would like to introduce maybe a water feature (a fountain, or maybe some "black" water modern stuff), or some sculpture, but we're out of ideas on how to do it and where;
- Needless to say, we're big fans of mass planting, we're not into low maintenance stuff, and we want as much green space as possible.
All in all, we're not sure we're making the most out of this plot so we are asking for suggestions. Please note that all dimensions are in meters.
