Orange fungus on tree stump

Hi. I have recently taken away a big silver birch tree at the back of my garden all the way down to a stump. There is now an orange and cream fungus appeared at the stump. Firstly I’d like to know if this is poisonous as I have a small dog. Secondly, how do I go about getting rid of this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
