Hello I have taken some hydrangea cuttings last autumn and am potting them in. Some feel fleshy from top to bottom others have the old stem and new growth appearing from that. Should I repot them lower in compost so that more new shoots come? Thankyou
You should only have new growth from the bottom, just pot them as they are now,, are you absolutely sure those pots they are in now are full of roots and showing at the bottom? Just go up another size pot, don’t use one too big.

Thanks @Lyn much appreciated. From your reply I can see what I’m looking for now! I need to have roots not don’t I? It’s no good if it’s just a new shoot growing further up the old stem?
