Shrub identification help please

Hi all. Can anyone help identify the tallest shrub in the attached image or come up with some ideas on similar looking plants ( but not bamboo ) I'm looking for a tall stemmed shrub with canopy I can plant under. Thank you !

    Sorry but for accurate answers you will need to add more clear close up pics...to show more detail...eg leaves, buds, flowers etc

    A better photo would help, but it could be a Philadelphus Virginal (mock orange)

  • Thanks Silver Surfer and Pete.8, I have attached some more photos of the stems, leaves and buds @Pete.8 I looked at the images online for a Philadelphus Virginal and I can't remember my plant ever flowering like that, but that may be down to my ( lack of ) gardening skills as it in bad condition / needs some care ! Thanks again everyone for your help !

    Could also be a Deutzia - if so, it will have little white buds on at the moment as they are about to come into flower.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Deutzia is a possibility.
