Italian Anemone bulbs - the which way up question.

These look a bit different to the usual flattened bulbs and looks as if getting them the right way up might be more critical. So which is the root and which is the shoot? Fat bit up or down?!

I would say pointy end down  does the one with the growth looks like leaves at the end?

    I really can’t tell, @K67 whether its a root or a shoot!

Lie them on their side and let them decide but first soak them in water for an hour or two to plump them up and accelerate growth of roots and shoots.

Thanks @Obelixx, that was my fallback position- basically just treat them like any other anenome bulbs. They have been soaking since 9am this morning and are now nice and plump and ready to plant  :)
