    21 is a ceanothus
    22 Skimmia japonica,  possibly "Rubella"
    20 could be another Nandina

    21. Ceanothus (probably the variety thyrsiflorus repens)
    22. Skimmia
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

I'm planning to lay micro-irrigation lines to all the plants this weekend, even those that are fairly draught tolerant (rosemary, lavender, olive tree) so that they retain a trickle in the hot months. Any advice for this newbie would be well-appreciated.
