Design ideas

Hi I have moved into a new property and would like some ideas on how I can landscape my garden, I do have a problem with drainage as garden is on a slight slope, and half the garden is in the shade, I would like a seating area in the sun and to have a shed also, i will add some pictures and see if you can give me any advice,

  • It floods all along the garden here in the winter by the sleeper which is surrounding the patio, will a raised border help or just do the same on front of the raised border, will plants along here soak up some of the water?

  • Okay, I have had a quote for someone to level the ground and put artificial grass and raised beds, do you think that would work, or if not what would you suggest?

You need to decide what you want from your garden.

Is it a kids' playground? a Veg garden to provide food? a place to just sit and chill with a cuppa or a glass of something? or some mix of these and other things.

You also need to decide how much you're prepared to spend on creating it, and how much time you intend to spend "working" on whatever do you out there.

Until you can answer these basic questions, the best you'll get is a million different suggestions based on what OTHER  folk would do if it was THEIR garden.

Your garden has to be right for you, even if other folk would do someone else.

    Devon.
