Sad looking shrub ID
Can anyone help ID this sad looking shrub in a pot, please? To be honest, I thought it had died last year (hence the spindliness), but the poor thing is trying to make a come back. Since it's not particularly happy in the pot, I've got a place in the ground I thought I would plant it, but I can't actually remember what it is (and the label has gone walkabout).
I think it's some type of snowberry, but when I look at the leaves, mine are serrated rather than smooth at the edge.
Apologies in advance for the quality of the photos - my phone camera is pretty fussy about focus when there's a lot going on in the background.

Possibly Spiraea x vanhouttei is a better match.

It would be much happier if planted in the ground.
Some plants are not happy in a pot.
