My sister forwarded this appeal to me so if you can possibly help your efforts woud be much appreciated.
Whilst this example is a crocheted version, I will post the pattern below.

I will find out from my sis where to send any finished ear savers. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

They are a brilliant idea @Ladybird4. I can confirm that wearing the masks can be extremely painful on the tops of ears. These ones would be for the surgical masks only. For the higher level masks, with two elastic straps, we have taken to wearing a material hairband - and people have been kindly sewing these for us.

Thank you in advance anyone who is knitting or sewing for workers using masks - it is really appreciated x

LB , those are an excellent idea . Can be made so easily . Very little yarn required and very little skill . Learner knitters as well skilled knitters would have little trouble to knit the ear savers .
    I will get going today.

They are asking you to phone your local hospital to see if they need them, or you could email.

I have had a trial run and there is a mistake in the pattern. As the finished item should be 4 inches in length I think it should say Knit until 3.75 inches long and not 4.75 inches.
I am somewhat limited with the buttons I have and I have only stitched them on through one set of holes to facilitate the looping of the mask.

@Jacquimcmahon I am learning to crochet but could not manage this task as yet.
