Best lawn edging?

    When I cut mine with a spade, the edges would crumble away as soon as the soil dried out, but then I have sandy soil. It probably works better on something stickier.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    So, I finally made some time this weekend and have been creating the edging with a spade (didn't fancy joining the masses at our local Homebase to get an edger!) and below are the results.

    I bit wiggly though haha. Any thoughts? Happy for any criticisms...🙂

    It looks fine to me, I'd either go completely straight or make more deliberate flowing curves though.
