Acer trees

I wondered how to prune Acer trees or if I should? I am also growing lupins in peat pots.  I don't know what is best to get them growing.

    Which Acer are you growing? There are hundreds.

    I don't know if I'm honest.  They change colour during the seasons.  I will attach pictures

    they range from dwarf Japanese maples a couple of feet tall to sycamores and field maples which are huge.

    Should I prune the tops? Under the node? I got carried away with liquid fertiliser

    again, depends on which type we're dealing with. I don't want to give you bad advice .
