Tess of the D'Urbevilles Rose

Hi
I have a Tess OTD rose which is quite spindly and nowhere near as lush as 2 other roses planted against the same wall.

Can anyone comment on this rose - do you find it quite small, does it take time to get going (mine's in it's 3rd year) or am I neglecting it in some way.  It would be good to get a comparison of how other people get on with this one.

If it's too close to the wall it is probably thirsty so make sure it gets a regular bucket of water and some food.

I planted one of these in my last garden and she struggled for 2 years.  I ended up digging her up and putting her in apot where she was pampered with shelter in winter, regular feeding and watering thru the growing season and ended up growing into a fine plant after 2 years and was strong enough to go back out into a more sheltered location with richer soil.
