What to put with these geraniums in planters

Good evening I have three black narrow planters and have some white geraniums and some rosemary and wondered if anybody could suggest 1 or 2 different plants that might look nice in with these please? I like mostly green and white plant/flowers. Thanks

I don't think there's room for much else in there.
You could try some of the alpine Phloxes or Arabis though - both are available in white varieties.
Whether you can get them of course, is another matter  :)

  • Thanks I think it’s the angle I took the photo at there are quite a few gaps. Should I fill them up so there are no gaps or leave gaps between? Thank you I will have a look at those plants you have recommended!

Some ideas: Verbena Samira White, white calibrachoa, variegated ivy, bacopa. You need to remember to protect the pelargonium against frost; there are some low night time temperatures forecasted for next week.

The Pelargoniums will fill out a bit, and so will the Rosemary, so make sure they do have enough room for that   :)

Both those plants I mentioned will fill small gaps quite readily, but eventually, everything will fill out. If you live anywhere but in the mildest parts of the UK, the pelargoniums will need winter protection too.

You can always remove some plants if the trough gets overfull, but just be aware that plants also need good airflow, so keep an eye out for any plant getting overshadowed by another   :)

  • Great thanks for all your advice I how is it beat to protect the pelargoniums?

You can bring the pelargoniums into your house over winter if you don't have a greenhouse for them. Just a windowsill without any extra heat is usually enough. A porch is ideal if you have that. Keep them on the dry side too.
They aren't frost hardy, so would need to come inside during autumn, depending on whereabouts you are in the country.
You can also take cuttings of them at that point, to give you more plants for next year  :)
