2 days ago I found a whole rat buried in the same corner.
My question was do foxes kill and bury rats ?

The answer is yes, they do kill and bury rats (and indeed any type of food.)
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Thanks Bob.
The RB it was in is a seed bed and the soil is like coffee granules as I have sieved it to a fine tilth.
The fox must have dug a 6 inch deep hole buried it and then levelled the soil as it looked undisturbed and the same as the rest of the bed.
And we think we are clever.
