Interesting that you thought it might not be hardy, even down in the South-West. That's telling me it's probably not a fancy form of a British native. The foliage looks similar to Ammi but the ones I know are white and annual so that's not it (which reminds me, mine are past ready for planting out). And not carrot (Daucus) - that's very feathery in the leaf (my Daucus Black Knights need planting out too).
I'm stumped!!
I don't know if it's NOT hardy, I bought it in October so I thought it'd give it protection for the winter before planting it out the following Spring,by which time , it's locked itself into the "ground"
I'm relieved that it's something I'd never heard of before and not something that I should have known. Every day's a schoolday! Of course, now I want one even though I haven't enough space and it probably wouldn't be hardy here.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
That was a real tough one. ....as already mentioned....I hate Apiaceae or Umbelliferae...so hard to id. Not a plant I know . It took a lot of hard work/investigation to track it down. Certainly got the little grey cells working VERY hard. Not called Silver surfer for nothing.....I am constantly in awe of the internet.
