    I would ignore any of the rain unless it's torrential ........ give them the bucket full regardless. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    I think it's probably been quite difficult for many nurseries to get stuff out - for this type of plant anyway. The fact that they're guaranteeing them is good though.
    If your ground is quite moisture retentive, you might get away with less watering, especially if you have any good spells of rain, but its one of those judgements you have to make.
    If you water well over the next month to 6 weeks, you should see new growth, and then you might be able to ease back on how often you water, but be prepared for upping it again over summer. Always a good canful at each watering, and then leave for a few days, rather than a couple of cupfuls every day. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Finished 10:30 this morning

    Will take sometime to provide screening, but I feel it’s already giving some separation from the play area and context for my beds.

    UPDATE

    I cant say I havent been worried, but today finally saw green leaves emerging :smile:



    (Plus foxgloves I got nothing from last year are coming into flower)

    Lovely and what a great idea to break the garden up with some beech screening. 
    "What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbour".
