plant advice needed to keep a lovely view
in Plants
In the back garden, I am lucky enough to have a lovely view of parkland beyond, with a simple 1 metre wrought iron fence separating us. I have a soil border I want to fill with permanent shrubs and annual plants. Any ideas?

That will give us a better idea for suggestions.
Can you also let us know if you want shrubs/plants which won't grow much bigger than your fence, or if you want a few airy plants which you can see through, and how much time you have to spend on it - that sort of thing
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
It's south facing and I don't want anything taller than the fencing really. I'm retired and love being outside in the garden so time isn't an issue!

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
That was my thought too when I asked for info last week @B3
What sort of length are you needing to cover too @marianfairley? Repeat planting is also a good way to get a harmonius look. Don't forget bulbs for spring, and you could add lilies and alliums for summer

The border is 10 metres by half a metre wide
