Bamboo looking unwell

Hi all,
ww have two pots with bamboo growing. One is in fine health but a sigh can see from the photos the second one doesn’t look too good. Any tips as to what is wrong or what we can do to help it?
as usual all responses greatly appreciated.

    looks like it's too dry now, or has been allowed to dry out . I'd say that planter is too small.
