    No, I was thinking more of the larger rectangular wooden ones or even large metal ones. It all depends on the posters budget of course and whether he/she can get anything delivered.

    It'll look like an afterthought, and will just emphasise the hedge rather than deflecting from it  :/

    Don't worry, my preference would be lengthy constructions from railway sleepers, but knowing how pricey they'd be, I'll first be looking around for what else might be adapted to the purpose.

    That was my concern @elderberry. You have to go big or go home, as they say - although, at the moment, I presume you are at home  ;)

    Mine are all done with heavy duty fencing timber, but at the moment, even that will be difficult to get. Then you have the issue of filling them. Perhaps in a couple of months, you'll be able to get going. Plenty of time for planning the planting  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
