Fatsia Japonica destroyed - please help!

Hello everyone, please see attached photos, my fatsia has been in the ground for 4 years now, it keeps growing but the leaves are never in top condition and many have these burn marks, what could cause these?

    It's just weather damage, and possibly some slug as well.
    Just cut them off , right back to the main trunk. It'll grow new ones. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    They often look a bit rough like that coming out of winter. Mine certainly does. I'll be cutting back the browned leaves (and maybe whole branches to keep the size down) in a a month or so, and it'll soon put on some fresh growth.
