Compost

Hi, As I cannot get out to the shops at the moment i wondered if it would be ok to change the compost in my mature pots and mulch the veg plot (small plants and seeds) with purely homemade compost? I do have loads of it. Thanks. Cheryl

It would certainly be fine for mulching (fork it in a bit and rake to get a fine surface for seed sowing), and for top-dressing mature plants in pots. For anything else, it's got to be worth a try.

If it's any help @chel I sieve my own compost and mix it with some BF&B for most of my pots and some of my veg.
