Gorgeous photos @Hostafan1. I now have lots of little buds poking through. Planning to put a few in one of my new planters hoping that will reduce slug damage.

    I remember The Rock @Hostafan1 🤣

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

That looks amazing @Hostafan1! Looks  way better than the display gardens over at Bowdens. Do you even try and control the slugs and snails ?

Gorgeous Hostas! As you say a few weeks makes all the difference. Mine are all starting to unfurl their new leaves and look really good. Thanks for the words of encouragement. Next year I will have more patience.

I leave slug/snail control to thrushes, blackbirds, hedgehogs, toads and frogs.

Aren’t they lovely with the fresh spring foliage?

    Debs64,
I had White Feather, it would only grow in the GH, first shoots and leaves were lovely colour, then after a few "days" the leaves went a washed out stripey green, I put up with it for a few seasons then they died out, wasn't sorry to lose them.

Hostafan , beautiful show, keep up the good work.

As for slugs and snails they have slaughtered two plants in pots of Sum and Substance, the same thing happened last season.
I also cut off the flower spikes before they open, with one exception So Sweet nice white flower spike and scented as well!

    Cheers.
