What to do with this side of the garden?

Dear all, one side of my garden is in a very tricky position - it’s a steep slope with a massive pine tree in the corner, it’s extremely dry and nothing seems to survive there. It’s sunny for the first half of the day. Do you think I can / should grow there anything at all?

    How many hours of sun are you talking?

    Instinct is to go with woody Mediterranean plants if there was enough sunshine.

    Perhaps some hardly succulents?

    It has sun for half a day. Since i don't know anything about gardening but i do want to do something with it i would really recommend if someone could send me specific names of the plants they think would grow well here? thank you so much!!
