What is this?

I am not sure if this is a weed or a plant but it is spreading all over so I am tempted to get rid of them - any advice please?

    Looks like Arum maculatum. Most people think it is a weed.

    After checking that plant name, you’re probably right so thank you for replying to my query. We did think it was that one too so will now start to remove them as they are all over our garden!

    All parts are poisonous. Wash your hands in addition to the usual CV job😉

    If you want to dig them up, dig deep - there will be a long white stem with a knobbly corm at the bottom.  You need to remove the knobbly bit or they'll re-grow next year.
