What spring bulb is this?

Hi Gardeners!

Anyone know what this plant is?

Im guessing some sort of spring bulb but it hasn’t flowered.

Each plant/bulb appears to have one singular large leaf.

Although it looks like they are perhaps all attached to one another they are individual leaves.
Thanks!

Thank you!

  • The flower looks like a grape hyacinth (muscari) to me but not sure what the larger leaves are from.

Large leaves are probably from tulips. Some don't flower a second year.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

I went outside when I saw the picture earlier to compare the leaves with what I have in one of my flower beds. They are the same. I am sure that they are tulips.

Definitely tulips, probably a fancy type which generally send up only leaves in their 2nd year if they survive at all.  I would dig them up now as it's all downhill from here and you'll just have tatty leaves there until they die off.  However, if you have ever planted 'species' tulips then best leave them as they may flower next year.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
