Website recommendations

It's been a few years since I posted (5 years in fact...wow), but looking for some help.

Not being able to get to garden centres this year, understandably, I popped online for purchases. After being messed around by Thompson & Morgan, 2 weeks later, my order has not arrived.

Can anyone recommend any decent online websites for fruit and veg, that are delivering in reasonable time, that I can grow in a greenhouse that I've erected? Where possible, I want to support the little guys/outlets in these difficult times.

Hi @nitram78 ... thought I recognised the name ... it can't really be that long can it  :open_mouth:

I recently bought some veg plug plants via  Am*zon from
https://gardenerskitchendirect.com/ .... they arrived in less than a week, very well packaged, well grown and in great condition along with good instructions for growing on.  Impressed.

Not cheap, but this year I'm not growing for economy, rather to provide fresh veg so that I don't have to go to the supermarket every few days.

Yeah, could not believe it myself when I checked my post history

Thanks for the link, just down the road from me too. Unexpected bonus! Having a good nosey now.

Yeah like you, combination of keeping myself busy and ensuring I don't have to visit supermarkets, purely as a precaution if this goes on longer than any of us hope for.

We used to be spoiled for fresh veg 'cos OH worked at a farm shop, but the new owners lost interest and it closed  :'( so now he works for a kitchenware shop ... lots of lovely slightly damaged freebies  B) but you can't eat  posh enamel casseroles and  tri-ply saucepans ... we've always grown some veg ... this year we'll be cramming them in  :D

Rather a nice touch, I tried Seedaholic in Ireland for the first time this year.  Delivery was quick and each packet of seed was attached to an A5 sheet, double sided, with everything I needed to know about the crop and how to use it.
