Keep seedlings warm in coldframe
Morning all. I planted 3 trays of a mix of 24 different seeds and popped them in the only free windowsill. They've all come up and am potting up. But tiny house and garden so nowhere to put them. I have a cold frame and have heard that a pot of hot water placed inside will keep them warm. Any ideas?

If they're of hardy plants, you can just acclimatise them a bit and put them in the frame with no heating of any kind. Out for a little while each day, in at night for a week, and then they should be fine.
If they're tiny though, that isn't enough protection. I'd be inclined to clear, and use, every windowsill you have until they're big enough to do the above. You could also use fleece for protection at night. I've never been convinced of the hot water thing, but perhaps others have used it.
I think a plastic drinks bottle is better though - but I'm not sure
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
