What is growing?

Hi all,

We moved house last autumn and inherited a veg patch. There are already things growing but I have no idea what they are or if they are just weeds (I've never been a gardener but am keen to now learn) can anyone tell me what I have growing?

    Hi and welcome @Rickycurtishall 😊

The tall slightly prickly things look like raspberry canes. You should get some fruit this summer. I think I can see a black currant bush in one corner too.
From this distance the rest look like weeds or a previous years veg that all need digging up now and putting on the compost heap (remove any seedheads). But otherwise it looks like a nice veg patch with good soil. Lucky you 👍

Might be strawberry plants at the base of the canes but not easy to tell from that distance

Pretty sure butterfly is right on the strawberries, I can also see the raspberries are suckering all over the place
