Plant identification help:

OwlbearOwlbear Posts: 49
Hello,

I was hoping someone might have a better idea/be able to help with identifying a few plants that have popped up around our garden. I'm in South-east England and the soil is largely clay (no idea on PH).

Plant 1: [Hairy stems, low growing, undersides of the leaves might have been slightly hairy too but not sure]

Plant 2: [Not sure, but this, and the next 2 might be the same plant?]

Plant 3: [This and plant no.4 are growing not too far away from some of our Phlox, but I don't think they are Phlox?]

Plant 4: [The right hand portion, the left hand plant is Campanula Garganica]

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Good morning @Owlbear and welcome 😊
the first looks to me like Herb Robert .. the wild cranesbill ... if I’m right the leaves will be quite pungent when crushed.

The others look like willow herbs.

Yes @Hostafan1 ... willow herb is definitely not a plant for most gardens, and while Herb Robert aka Geranium robertianum is a pretty thing I always hoik it out before it gets the chance to set seed!

    Thanks for the replies.

Based off of that I'll pull them out next time and then wait and see if they make a repeat appearance later.
