Bumble bee query

First I would like to say thank you for allowing me to join this forum.
My question is,  I have watched a queen bee every day for a week seemingly  making a nest in my hedgehog house. I love to watch bees but I am concerned about the summer months as the hedgehog house is around 7 foot from my back door. Should I leave the bees to go on as they are or call bee experts.

Hi @Debra.cambridge It's unlikely that the bees will cause you any problem at all.
They'll just do their thing, and will get used to you going to and fro  :)

I'm sure, if you're concerned, you could contact one of the organisations, and they would be able to advise you though   :)

Hello @Debra.cambridge. Welcome to the forum. I agree with @Fairygirl as these bees like most other types will prove no problem at all if left alone. It will be interesting to watch the comings and goings as the colony develops. They nest regularly in one of my bird boxes.

    I meant to say that @Ladybird4 - it's fascinating watching them  :)

I had some in a little hole round behind the shed last year. When I was out last week on a warmer day, there was one checking out the facilities  ;)
