Sunny border

Hello all, 

Currently digging over some lawn space to create a border for my front garden under a Bay window about 5meters long and 1 meter depth. I want to plant some flowers, it gets a lot of sun 🌞 approximately 8 hours a day when it decides to arrive. The soil type is dry/clay. Im thinking of bloomtime geraniums as they like any soil type and a lot of sun and will stay fairly low and would fill the border nicely. Any advise on what would work well with this flower as a companion?

    My south-facing border is edged with Sicilian chamomile Anthemis punctata, a jolly little plant that gives a lot and asks for very little.  The pretty foliage is evergreen, faintly aromatic, and suppresses weeds.  In April it produces masses of daisy flowers the size of a 2p coin.  It is hardy in the UK and only needs watering in the longest of dry spells.  It doesn't self-seed and is easily controlled, just cut back with shears or scissors if the clumps get too big.  It is very easy to propagate by cuttings.  If you let me have your address in a PM, I'll gladly send you some.
