White mouldy stuff on top of compost

What is the white fluffy mouldy stuff that is growing on the top of the compost? is it toxic? thanks

    It's harmless. It's just the process which breaks down everything to turn it into compost.
     :) 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
