What to do with dug up daffodil bulbs
Hi
I've just made a new raised bed and in doing so I've dug up some daffodils that had just finished flowering. According to the books I have this would be the wrong time off year to divide them, so I'm wondering, can I divide them anyway and see what happens? Will that be s waste of time? Should I try putting them back in the soil with leaves still on or cut back to bulb-only state?
Thanks

You can always just put them in pots with a bit of soil over them which is also better. Label them if necessary, leave the foliage on, and give them a little liquid feed as well if you have it to help build them up.
