Sad Berberis admiration

Hello! Please help me with this berberis admiration that I've planted in a shady border. It doesn't look healthy. Shall I dig it up and move it to a pot or is it just taking its time to come back to life?

My berberis seem to start leafing up from the top down, but the rest catches up so I would give it some time. Has it been sad for a while or is it just this year? They do like some sun to look their best, does it get any in it’s current location? I found this one a bit more delicate than many of my others and it didn’t like my very hot sun, it went crispy, so I guess these is a balance to be found!

Hi @Nollie thanks for replying! It's been in only 1 year so this will be it's first proper summer. It doesn't get any direct sun where it is in a North facing raised bed. There's quite a lot of planting around it too.
Shall I leave it until May to see how it looks then?

Well give it a couple of weeks at least, but it’s colour won’t be as vibrant where it is. I know this, as I have some new Bagatelle in my poly tunnel, which was looking decidedly green until I move it outside, when it was sunny a week or two ago and it suddenly coloured up!
