Pruning tree hollyhocks

Good afternoon,
I bought three tree hollyhocks to grow into nice single stemmed bushes between my neighbour’s and my front gardens. I read that I should reduce the number so stems to one fairly straight one and I should remove side branches on the bottom third. I did this. See pics of 2 of them...

I then ordered three more so I could add one more to the line of them that I had already planted and two more in others places in the garden. However, these have come and they’re much bigger - a year older perhaps?
My question is, do I treat them the same to achieve a single stemmed tree/bush? / reduce to one stem at ground level and remove all branches on the bottom third?
see pics of new, larger plants:

Thanks!
