I'm not quite sure what the problem is - mosquitoes breed all over the place.
I'm allergic to the bites, so can't use the garden if they are around. I have a little pond and (after experiments with fountains large and small) have used dunks very effectively. Mozzies don't usually fly very far or very high, so sorting out repositories close by can be very effective. I don't get any in my water butts. I do check. I think I might need to do something about my drains right by the kitchen. If the door is open, we get loads of mozzies coming in in Feb. I will try the dunks there for one year.

I'm also very allergic to most insect bites but we don't seem to have much of a problem in this garden, I think it's possibly too windy for mozzies most days and I don't have a pond (can't abide frogs or toads!).
I don't think a teaspoonful of Jeyes Fluid diluted in a 100 litre water butt is going to cause any problem to aquatic life.

Not going to be much help in getting rid of the mozzie larvae then though :D

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
