Advice on new turf that has died over winter

Hello,

After a bit of advice. I got new turf put down last July and as you can see below a large portion of it has died over winter. Is there anything in particular I should be doing to fix this? I've started putting grass seed down since start of march but nothing seems to have germinated yet.

    You don't say where you are, but here it's still a bit cold for grass seed to germinate, and it's also been very dry for the last few weeks.
    The bare area in the 2nd pic could be due to people walking across it. In the first pic, my best guess is that the corner is too shady (grass likes sun). If the weather gets warmer and you keep it moist and the grass still doesn't grow, it might be better to have a bed there and grow something that will like the shade.
