Are these cauliflower seedlings too leggy?

I fear bottom heat caused the etoliation and will learn from that when I sow the next batch later this week.

Would you bin them, plant them a little deeper as with tomato seedlings or just press on?

Thanks for any advice.

Make sure they get plenty of light now and aren't too warm and they'll get sturdier.   When you plant them out in their final position, plant them deep anyway as all brassicas like to be held firmly in the ground and this will stop them rocking when it's windy.

  • Hi, they look very healthy. I would just plant them deep and they will be fine. I often have this problem and I repot into single pots deep and firm then after hardening off they will plant outdoors the same, deep and firm .
