2 plants in one pot

I have a rose in a very large pot in my garden , planted last year . Can I put a honeysuckle in with it ?

    I don't grow roses, but this doesn't sound like the best combination you could have.  Honeysuckle's tend to be quite rampant climbers, and it might end up swamping your presumably pretty rose.  Unless you specifically want something to scramble up through your rose, it may be better to choose something different.  Rose lovers on the forum will probably be able to suggest some alternatives.

    I can't see how that would work unless the container's very large.
    Honeysuckles tend to like different conditions from many roses too, and in a pot, honeysuckle won't do very well anyway, let alone with a rose in with it.

    A clematis would do better, and there are plenty which would associate well with your rose.  :)

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    It's about 20" across & about 40 deep, but your right I think it needs its own pot
