Courgette pots in shade?

Hi everyone, hope you're all keeping safe!

I'm looking to grow some dwarf courgettes in a container/pot on my patio, but it has pretty limited sun coverage - probably only about 3 hours of full, direct sun a day.

Has anyone had any success growing courgettes in partial shade? Is this likely to be too shady for any fruitful returns?

Cheers in advance!

They like full sun so I think would struggle on just 3 hours.

Yes, lots of sun, 2018 was an amzing year, even last year I didnt get a very good crop, and they had full sun at least 8 hours a day.

Courgettes do OK for me in partial shade. What I've found with courgettes in pots is they are very hungry and thirsty. That is equally important as sunlight in my experience. I can barely keep up with their watering requirements during dry periods
